programme has been chosen as one of the three laureates of the
NWO/Spinoza prize this year for his exceptional contribution
to science. The NWO/Spinoza prize (sometimes called the
Dutch Nobel prize) is the highest award that the Dutch national organ of
scientific research can bestow, and includes a grant of three million guilders.
